Developed by the National Taiwan University, and known as NTU, the Performance Ranking of Scientific Papers for World Universities supplies a global ranking and is divided by 6 study fields and 14 subject areas.
The ranking was firstly released in 2007 by the Higher Education Evaluation and Accreditation Council of Taiwan (HEEACT). It seeks to provide the scientific performance of instituti0ons based on bibliometric methods. Its primary sources are the Essential Science Indicators (ESI), the Web of Science (WoS) and the Journal Citation Reports (JCR).
